Welcome to ADHDAlgeria

About ADHDAlgeria.com

ADHDAlgeria.com was created by and for the Algerian ADHD community.

The goal is simple:
connect Algerians with ADHD, their families, and ADHD specialists in Algeria in one place.

Why This Website Exists

ADHD in Algeria is widely misunderstood and rarely discussed.

Based on global prevalence estimates used in international medical research, around 5–7% of the population is affected by ADHD.

This suggests that a significant number of Algerians are living with ADHD today.

Yet only a very small percentage are aware, diagnosed, or receiving treatment.

For these reasons, creating a central community became necessary to connect people with ADHD in Algeria and raise awareness about the condition.

The Reality of ADHD in Algeria

As reported by hundreds of community members:

Many psychiatrists and psychologists in Algeria are undereducated about ADHD.

Some deny its existence entirely.

Others believe it only affects children and dismiss ADHD in adults.

This contradicts established international medical research and clinical guidelines.

Life Without Awareness or Support

Without awareness or support, people with ADHD often struggle with basic daily activities:

Over time, this leads to chronic stress, overthinking, emotional dysregulation, and social isolation.
